She had been raised in a sports-oriented family. When she was a participant in numerous sports throughout high school and in university, Taft decided to pursue a career as reporter. Taft started her career with Fox Sports North after graduating from Boston University with a degree in broadcast journalism. As well as covering sports Taft also worked as social media journalists and filling the gaps for a variety of games. Within a short time, Fox Sports 1 hired Taft as a reporter in the News and Highlights department. Taft has covered reputed names and has reported them from the field for FS1.
